Kaka celebrates with Cristiano Ronaldo after scoring Real Madrid's second goal against Villarreal.
Madrid have enjoyed an almost perfect start under new coach Manuel Pellegrini, who left Villarreal this summer, and Ronaldo took less than a minute to break the deadlock.
The devastating effect of galáctico era was on full display last night as and Kaká scored in a 2-0 win for Manuel Pellegrini's side against Villarreal.

The players, who cost Real in excess of £136m this summer, scored in each half as Real achieved their fourth win out of four in La Liga.

Ronaldo scored in stunning style after just two minutes. The Portuguese sped down the left wing, cut inside and struck with a low shot from just outside the penalty area for his fifth league goal of the season.Kaka slotted home a second-half penalty to seal the Madrid giants their fourth successive win of the La Liga season, matching arch-rivals Barcelona at the top of the standings.

In only the second minute, Ronaldo attacked on the left wing, deftly evaded two defenders, and shot low inside the near post past outstretched goalkeeper Diego Lopez.

Not long after, Villarreal central defender Gonzalo Rodriguez received a yellow card for a rash challenge on Ronaldo, who sent the resulting free kick into the defending wall.

Rodriguez earned a second yellow and his ejection in the 35th for a dangerous kick that hit Kaka in the chest.Villarreal were reduced to 10 men after 35 minutes as captain Gonzalo Rodriguez was controversially sent off in the 35th minute and the home side are still seeking their first win of the season.

Despite being a man down, Villarreal began the second half with some aggressive attacks and strong defence which appeared to catch Madrid by surprise.

After weathering that, Kaka's left cross struck Villarreal defender Angel Lopez in the hand within the penalty area, and the penalty was knocked in by Kaka in the 73rd.

Madrid's ninth new player of the season, defender Ezequiel Garay, who was signed a year ago but spent last season loaned back to Racing Santander, was injured in warmups before the match and had to be replaced by Fernando Gago.

Villarreal Response.---

Villarreal coach Ernesto Valverde was unhappy about the penalty decision in his sides 2-0 defeat to Real Madrid at the Madrigal.

Valverde accepted the sending off of Gonzalo Rodriguez and said that was a turning point in the game but he believed that his side could have rescued a draw with ten men until Kaka converted the controversial spot-kick, awarded for a hand ball by Angel.

The Yellow Submarine went behind after just two minutes thanks to a brilliant solo effort from Cristiano Ronaldo but Valverde said referee Mejuto Gonzalez had a big part to play in the win for Madrid.

"The referee had to decide quickly and Gonzalo [Rodriguez] put his foot in late. It determined the course of the game but I don't think the penalty was deliberate but the referee had already made up his mind," Valverde said to Marca.Villarreal defender Gonzalo Rodriguez was sent off 10 minutes before the break, earning a second yellow card for catching Kaka in the chest with a reckless flying kick.

"We knew after the sending off we had to push up to have any chance. We could have had a draw but it wasn't to be. We did very little after the penalty."

Villarreal now sit third from bottom in the Primera Liga without a win so far this season and the coach knows they must turn things around.

"We are not where we like to be but we cannot look back, we must start winning," Valverde added.
