That's why I am here: Germany coach Joachim Low is not distracted
Model coach: Joachim Low will concentrate on winning the World Goblet rather than worrying about his Germany deal that ends at the end of the tournament
Germany coach Joachim Low insists uncertainty over his future will not affect his side's bid for World Cup glory.
Negotiations between Low and the German Football Federation (DFB) over an extension to his deal which runs out after the tournament broke down at the start of the year.
But the 50-year-old, whose side take on England in a last-16 clash on Sunday, said he will hold talks with DFB president Dr Theo Zwanziger after the World Cup.
'It remains the case that we will talk after the tournament - whenever that will be,' said Low.
But I want to emphasise again, my relationship with the president is absolutely fine. Two days ago he was with us in the hotel, we sat together and talked for a long time in the evenings. Everything is okay between us.And Low claimed the Germany squad is as united as any in the tournament.
'We are a team - and that is what we want to convey to our great fans day in day out,' he added.
'That is very important to me - everyone should see that we are building unity. We belong to two, three teams at the World Cup who show absolute unity.
'We are a young, inexperienced team. And it is not always easy. But you can identify with this team. Everyone is rooting for us, everyone. That is a good feeling.'
